Before you register
Please note, for security reasons, it is necessary to create an account using a valid email address.
It will take approximately 15 minutes to complete the registration form. Only one profile will be permitted per applicant (per email address). Please ensure you have the required documents (listed below) prior to beginning. You will not be able to complete the registration form without the required documents.
Please ensure to select the proper category. An improper selection could result in your application being rejected.
Please take note of the documentation and items you will need prior to registering to an event. Depending on your role, different items will be required.
Media registration
Photo of yourself
The photo you supply will be printed on your access badge as is.
- Recent passport-style photo
- A photograph of your drivers lisence, passport or any other picture id will not be accepted
- Only the following formats are accepted .jpg, jpeg or gif
- Maximum file size of 2 MB
- The photographs must show the full front view of the head, with the face in the middle of the image
- Pale or white background
- No hats or sunglasses
- Photo must be in colour
Valid government-issued ID with photo
Acceptable forms of ID
- Canadian citizens: Driver's License, health card or Passport
- Non-Canadian citizens: Passport or permanent resident card only
Letter of assignment
- Only the following formats are accepted .pdf, .jpg, jpeg or gif
- The letter must name the applicant and his/her role within the organization
- The letter must indicate that the applicant's assignment covers the 2017 Royal Tour
- The letter must be written on official letterhead and be signed by an authorized individual and include that person's contact details
Valid media credential
- Only the following formats are accepted .pdf, .jpg, jpeg or gif
- The media credential must be issued by a recognized professional body
- A valid passport may be provided in lieu of a media credential
